1963 Other Makes Simca 1000 Bertone Coupe Description

Up for sale is this very rare 1963 Simca 1000 Coupe. I bought it 11 years ago and frankly haven't done anything to it but move to different garages; it's time to let it go to somebody who will restore this interesting little rear engine coupe. yes, this is the second time around for this auction, the previous "buyer" has failed to conclude the deal so if you missed it the first time around here's your chance.

I have made a rather complete video of this car, inside & out, underneath and all around. its on U tubeat

https://youtu.be/bcG_SaNreGk , title name simca, the vid should answer most questions you have.
the body does need work, it is not rust free, but is basically sound. there is a very large assortment of parts that come with it, much of it new- brake & suspension stuff, a lot of engine parts, some trim parts, workshop and parts books, and a complete running drivetrain out of a 1967 1000 sedan- that was a rusty car I was able to drive up the street and verify the engine and transaxle was in good operating order. I oiled the engine before I removed it, it still turns easily. this car rolls easily, brakes not stuck.
the title shows the VIN as 250224; this number is stamped on the top lip of the rear body panel. I have also included a pic of the body tag in the trunk. it is a clear, open ohio title.
unfortunately I am gone quite a bit these days, typically home only on weekends.(much of the reason I am letting this go- no hope for time to restore it), so pick up will have to be arranged over a weekend. I have a hoist, we can get the spare drivetrain into the bed of your pickup.the car can stay here for a couple weeks as long as its paid in full while you make pick up arrangements. be aware most for-hire transporters will not want to deal with the spare powertrain. if need be I can palletize it and get it onto a lift gate truck for another $100- trucking charges not included.
