- Street Registered, USFS Forest & BLM offroad legal, so you can just street drive or flat tow it it to your favorite fun offroad places.

Manx Club registered. Original shortened "oval pan VW" chassis with Alameda Fiberglass Manx type shell (google that for more info - closest clone there is to original M-Manx, which as you know wasn't a trademarked brand). - weighs only 1200 lbs, so it goes SCARY FAST off-road on 55hp. Under 600 miles on fresh 1600 "universal" dual-port engine with Pertronix 034svda distributor, rebuilt 34 PICT-3 carburetor; excellent oil psi; working fuel gauge, 4-point rollbar & reinforced windshield mounting, retracting 2-pt seatbelts, shoulder harness bar; long axles, Recently New: Bosch 12V alternator upgrade, hi-torq Porsche starter, brakes, steering box, EMPI trigger shifter, EMPI camber bar & EMPI extractor street exhaust.
Modified hood "lifts-up" for easy off-road access to critical front steering components and pedal cluster; locking external fuel fill modification; DRL headlights. PPG urethane repaint over oem gelcoat several yrs ago - not concours - indicative of off-road & beach purposes; Removable Rack for canoe or surfboards; 15" wheels with good rubber (8x15 on back); Drives nice & will run 65 on freeway. - Set up & wired to flat tow with a std VW bug towbar (not included), and it trails nicely.

Has been shown at Hot August Nights, Bug-o-Rama and Sacramento Autorama, I have owned it many years, rarely drive it - nice to look at but it's just taking up space; I use it mostly like a street-legal ATV for ranch work & errands to town. Lots of spare VW parts, books, & extra paint included in sale. (p.s. - The "glove box hole" in the dash was for a CB radio).

If you want an original Meyers Manx front hood, they can be bought new from Meyer's manx store for $700 (google it).
