1954 Packard Packard Red Description

Hello you are bidding on a 1954 packard convertible. This a real auction for a rare find. This packard was owned by a postman who bought it from the 1st original owner in Nebraska. It had a fuel pump problem and was never fixed so it sat in his garage since 1974.After his passing, the estate was later passed on to his children who sold it to me. I tracked down the fuel pump but haven’t installed it. The car has not started since it was parked however the engine does turn freely .I also got the convertible pump to work after sitting unused for so many years. As the long winter came, I realized it will take me more time to restore which is time I do not have. It is a matter of disassembly and refinishing at this point. This is a complete car with all the hard to find parts typically missing already on there. I am a cross country car hauler so home time is minimal so I am just passing it on in hopes that someone can enjoy this beautiful, complete car. It is extremely solid. There is very little rust on both lower rocker panels, around the skirt area passenger front floor section, smaller spot on driver side floor pan and a spot in the trunk floor. The under carriage and rest of the body is very solid and straight. It is missing the hood ornament this is not uncommon. The right side of the bumper was bent by the tow truck driver while pulling out before I acquired it but it isn't major. Also not that it has the continental kit a feature typically missing. This auction is for serious buyers only. Please e mail me with any further questions regarding the car. I am typically on the road 3 weeks of the month but I can help coordinate the transportation. The car is located at my home in Louisville, Ky. The winning bidder must pay within 7 days of end of auction and is responsible for transporting costs. Local pickup is also available. Note the last picture shown of the red restored car shows what it could look like. Also not I do not accept bids 0 history fake bidders. This auction is real and does not have bid bumpers.
