Offered for sale is a solid 1956 Packard Clipper Custom 2 Door Hardtop. It is in quite good condition. Since I bought it four years ago it has gotten a brake job, some rewiring, a rebuilt leveler motor, and some new hoses. The radio does not work and the power antenna had been replaced by a non-power one when I got the car. The car runs and rides well. The car comes with rear fender skirts which are not installed. The body has a couple of small dings in the left rear quarter which should be easy to remove. The interior is in very good condition except for the headliner which has some holes in it. I believe it to be a good example of this fine car. (The mileage is unknown. The odometer says 33117, but its condition is not that of such low mileage and it doesn’t look nearly as worn as 133117.) I have not driven it for any long distances, but would feel confident that it would drive well. The original interior is in very good shape – no rips of snags. There has apparently been some rust that has been repaired. A shop manual complete with greasy fingerprints is included as is the original owner manual.
