Ask the man who owns one! Or in this case his wife who drives him to shows since his eyesight has been failing. I’m listing it for a customer and have known the car for years.
Well sorted 1939 Packard Club Coupe. No wrecks, no rust, mostly original right down to the rubber floor mat with one very good re-spray many years ago. Current owner has had the car for 14 years as a rolling restoration. Things that needed to be done have been taken care of including an engine rebuild, new running board rubber, brakes, tune-ups and general servicing, restored garnish mouldings, wiper motor rebuild, electric fuel pump for easier starting, selective re-chroming and yes, the thermostatic radiator grill works perfectly.
The only downside to this example is some paint issues on the roof where it was probably stored with a canvas tarp as was the practice before we knew any better. Overall a nice driving Packard at a reasonable price. No surprises just a big straight eight with a three speed.
