The time has come to sell my dear, old 1949 Packard sedan. Old age has hit me suddenly like a ton of bricks and I can no longer drive, so hopefully she will find a new, caring owner.
She was a 22nd series car, originally sold to a fellow in NY but has spent most of her recent years in Texas, where I found her in 2008. She rides on 1977 Cadillac Sedan Deville chassis, which sports a rebuilt 425 V 8 and turbo 400 tranny. I call this the best of both worlds, because the car looks and drives like a classic Packard should, she also has the advantages of air conditioning, power brakes and steering and the automatic transmission.
The Instrument Panel has Dolphin gauges set in a dash of American Black Walnut.Included is an Alpine AM/FM/Cassette/CD with a 6 disc changer and two remote controls.
Since I am relocatingat the end of May I am listing at a low reserve and a BIN of $24,500 which is $10,000 under the Agreed Value for insurance.
