1968 Plymouth Road Runner Road Runner Description

Up for auction is my 1968 Plymouth Road Runner that is a TRUE Numbers Matching Project!! I have the original 383HP that has been rebuilt ( 0 miles ), and the original A833 4 speed trans that is in great shape! The car is nearly rust free, with only the normal rust in the trunk area. The floors are in great shape, and the rest of the cars metal is in great shape. This car has neverbeen wrecked and is very straight! The only real dent is from a tow driver years ago just past the drivers door. The car has it's original fenders and quarters too. I bought this car to restore but, I have another project that I want to focus on. I have a clear title in my name for the car, and whomever buys this car gets a great 1st year Roadrunner project. The pictures do not do the car Justice, it's looks even nicer in person!
Engine/ Trans: Both the engine and trans are stamped with the partial VIN number of 8E172493, showing them to be the original engine and trans for the car. The engine is stamped 383 HP on the pad up front. Plus, the partial VIN is stamped on the block right where the bell housing bolts to the block. The engine was just rebuilt with all the numbers matching hard parts, and that was a few months ago. I do not have the original intake for the car or carb. I do have another 4 barrel 383 intake, and I believe that is date coded 1969. The 4 speed trans was taken to a shop and inspected when I had the engine built and all the gears and synchros looked great inside there. The trans has the partial VIN stamped onthe case. The Sure Grip rear end is still in place, with 3:55 gears. I do have the original Bell Housing, and clutch linkage for the car. I do not have the original HP exhaust manifolds for the car though.
Interior/ Exterior: The interior is old and worn but pretty much complete. The glass is all there, windows roll up and down fine, doors shut and open well too. I do not have the original bench seat for the car, it came with the seats you see in the pictures, I believe they are 71 RR seats. The body is rust free with good lines overall. Under the hood there in no signs of rust at all, and the build tag is stillon the drivers inner fender and I have a picture of the tag. TheBeep Beep horn is still there, and it would not take much to clean up the bay. Under the car is rock solid with just a little surface rust. The car will come with 4 rollers that will hold air when it leaves, as it has a few wheels from another car on it now.
INFO: Thecar is in great shape but, it's48years old. Thecar is being sold " AS IS" with no warranty due to it's age. There is a $1000 PAYPAL,NON Refundable deposit due within 24 hours of the auction closing, and the final payment must be made within 5 days of the auction closing. The final payment must be made with a cashiers check or wire transfer, and cash is always welcome too. If you send a cashiers check I will hold the car for 3-5 days to allow the check to process. Please feel free to have thecar inspected BEFORE the auction closes if you wish, there are a few inspectors in Las Vegas.
