1962 Plymouth Other Savoy Description

This car has been in my father's private collection for almost 15 years. It's been on of the center pieces and a member of the family but its just time to let it go.
Here's what I know about the car's history. By the vin, this car was a police car. It also has the certified speedometer in it. The car has a 426 Max Wedge with a cross ram in it. Now, you couldn't get the 426 in 1962 so obviously it didn't come that way. With that being said, it looks like its been there for a long time. The car had rusted out drag pipes on it when we got it, which we had recreated just as they were. It appears at one time it could have had fender wellheaders as well. My guess is, this car was ordered as a police car, never sold, and someone scooped it up and had the 426 installed sometime in 1963. But of course that's just my opinion, I really have no idea and the car can't talk! But below is what I do know for sure about the car!
The paint is a 10 footer. The car was originally blue and some of that shoes in the jams or in a chip or two. It has the normal knicks and scrapes. Under the car is very solid and nice. There are 2 or 3 very small rust pimples along the bottom side of the body. Now, don't get me wrong, the car looks and presents itself very well. I just don't want anyone to be upset when they get it.
The bumpers and chrome is nice driver quality.
The seats were recently recovered as well as new carpet. The door panels and everything is is original but still shows nice. I actually have a part of a roll of seat material left if the new owner wants it.
The engine runs and sounds great, has plenty of oil pressure. The carbs were professionally rebuilt last year along with a complete tune up. It also has a big aluminum radiator in it and runs cool. The car is very strong and if it got any kind of traction, would be a monster. The tranny shifts good, push button works as it should. It has a pretty low gear in it, I'd guess 4.10 or so. The rear end is a little noisybut its been that way since we got the car 15 years ago.
I believe the miles to be correct, I have an oil change receiptfrom 1990 that appears to back up the mileage. But I cannot confirm.
The car also comes with a set of slotted old school mags with older tires.
