1966 Plymouth Fury Sport Fury Convertible Description

1966 PlymouthSportFury Convertible for sale -- very good condition unrestored car. This car has a 383 4 barrel engine, new Edelbrock electric chokecarburetorand a new high-quality battery. It has a nice K&N 3 inch air cleaner (not shown). It starts and runs extremelywell.
No oil leaks.
Easy starts from cold or warm or hot, perfect throttle response, very powerful. Runs down the road as smoothly as it did when it was new. It never overheats even at 105* outside.
No coolant leaks.
Real dual exhaust with new turbo mufflers (notglasspacks). Smooth deep idle and very quiet tone while underway. The power steering works as it should.
No power steering leaks.
727 Torqueflite Automatic Transmission with floor shift. Shiftsgood. It is importantto use the parking brake when you park because the parking pawl in the transmission can stick on a hill.
No transmission leaks.
The differential works properly.
No rear end leaks (thank goodness!).
This car has manual brakes that work easily, properly and smoothly. Stops straight and true with no pulling and excellent pedal feel.
The convertible top is in excellent shape and works perfectly. It goes up and down quickly, smoothly and as it was designed. The plastic rear window is clear. There are no rips stains or blemishesinthe top material. The latches are tight and the header is without flaws.
The body is RUST FREE. There is a little blemish in the paint on the door, shown in a photo.
The floor pans are solid as is the trunk floor. All the stainless trim is present. The one passenger-side quarter panel piece comes with the car. The bumpers are still shiny. The rear bumper has some checking you can see up close. There are no dents in the body anywhere.
The paint shines well when clean, and has a very nice patina.
The car came with 14 inch wheels and wheel covers with ugly tires. The car now rides on 4 new 15-inch Rally wheels with spinners and correct acorn style chrome lug nuts (remember reverse threads on the left side?) and chrome bolt-in valve stems and caps from Wheel Vintiques and new BF Goodrich T/A tires as shown. I do not have the fender skirts.
The interior is completely original and shows some fading, and there is some wear on the driver seat. Legendary makes seatcovers for this car. The carpet is very nice. One quarterwindow is off the track, but all the parts are there. All the glass isvery good with no cracks or yellowing or delaminating. The factory gauges do not work; there are a set of vintage gauges under the dash that work properly. All the headlights, taillights, turn signals with fender indicators, tag light, horn all work properly. Wipers work properly.
The dash pad is cracked up and it is covered by an aftermarket pad.
Overall, this is a super nice cruiser with lots of muscle. Exactly what a real MOPAR should be!
This is my personal car. It has been garage kept. I have the clear Texas titlein hand.
I can help facilitate the buyer's shipper and can assist an international buyer. The reserve price very reasonable. Bid to win!
Thanks for looking. Frank
