A-Body, 2WD Rear Wheel Drive, coveted 225 Slant 6 cylinder 3.7l engine; reputed to be unstoppable, 3 speed automatic. UNKNOWN ACTUAL miles somewhere near 100k (?) (odometer currently reads 84,728.5, I suspect was roughly correct when I purchased it plus mileage I've put on it since ownership; most are local miles. Car sat 3-5 years, just prior to my purchasing it, and many parts at underside were affected, and failed as a result of sitting idle; I suspect that is when cable froze up. I bought this as a project car about a year and a half ago, but my daily driver blew engine, as I was driving to pick this up; so it quickly became my daily driver up to today! I HAVE NO FORMAL TRAINING, AND DO NOT CLAIM TO BE A QUALIFIED AUTO MECHANIC. I've replaced several brake lines (functional, but not necessarily pretty), fuel & air filters, distributor cap/rotor, battery, dropped & repaired leaking gas tank (may still leak, as it is not uncommon for it to smell like gas at times; but may be due to poorly adjusted carb/timing), repaired tail pipe with sleeves/clamps. I have replaced too numerous mechanical & body parts/hardware to list; and have most, if not all, receipts. Good NJ inspection through 11/2017. Has clean NJ title (UNTIL NOW, I BELIEVE IT WAS ALWAYS REGISTERED IN VIRGINIA, WHERE IT WAS ORIGINALLY PURCHASED, AND WHERE I PICKED IT UP FROM), runs and drives fairly well. SEE PICTURES, ASK ALL QUESTIONS PRIOR TO COMMITTING TO BUY. Cosmetically is very decent, nice straight lines, but some small dents & dings & rust, here & there. Was told that never any major accidents; but there was obviously some sort of work on right rear quarter panel, as there is paint variation blended at that location. Otherwise, evidence of minor "parking lot" mishaps at both bumpers. Pretty much everything works (not back-up lights, already replaced reverse/neutral switch). Interior light always stayed on, so is now disconnected . Original jack is included, but has no base. Interior has issues: No headliner, no carpet in front, cracked dashboard pad, Bench seats faded & torn, 1 door armrest is missing (RR), others need re-upholster. Issues with some of the interior of doors mechanics/weatherstrip for windows. Most gauges and idiot lights work; OTHER THAN ODOMETER & SPEEDOMETER (cable twisted/shot; otherwise had worked for a brief time when I had it...), and amperage gauge technically works, but unreadable due to needle breaking off shortly after purchase; speedometer needle broken off also shortly after purchase; and jogged about aimlessly while it was working. There is a good sized rusted-through hole in driver's floor pan, and a smaller one on passenger side; repaired with fiberglass patch). Otherwise, seems to have no major rust on underside, frame, or elsewhere; was originally under-coated from factory. Various water leakage through glazing (and door glass has basically no to nil weatherstripping anymore). Fuse box gets wet (if left in factory position), and bypassed 1 fuse in panel (so far) for tail lights, etc. to work; as fuse receiver was broken. All glass is intact, with only noteworthy issues being in front windshield: a couple very small scratches/marks that do not seem to come off, and one round "shot-with-B.B.-Gun"-like inclusion, about the size of a quarter (put clear acrylic nail polish over it on both sides of glass. Silicone evident at frone and rear exterior glass. Windshield wipers work in both speeds, as does manual pump for washer fluid. Car starts on first try consistently, except, at times (few and far between), PRNDL shift arm needs to be wiggled, and/or moved to Neutral to engage starter. Trunk leaks water; weatherstrip is compromised a bit, and small rusted hole in track. You can literally fit the entire Nevada desert in the trunk! Engine runs well, and doesn't generally stall; sometimes threatens when damp/rainy. May have voltage regulator issue, as wipers seem to slow down at idle. Recently installed re-manufactured carburetor (AND I SUSPECT CAN RUN BETTER IN MINUTES WITH THE HANDS OF A MECHANIC ON IT (I simply do not know what to do with adjustment screws anymore, quite honestly; I've had them everywhere and back...), transmission shifts as it should with no signs of slipping. Car stops well, newer front brake shoes/hardware/wheel cylinder. Has drum brakes at all 4 wheels, never even looked at back... Oil is full, clean, and apparently car does not burn oil; however it does leak a little oil from valve cover gasket. Loses antifreeze very very slowly, seemingly near top of radiator, but may be from hose too. I cannot see it leaking when looking for it under hood while running... Suspension feels good/solid, but right front has recently started to "clunk" once in a while (you may too when you are as old as car...). Has 3 brand new tires on it, 4th is what was brand new spare stored in trunk; so looks very good, with great tread, and has good full size spare in trunk. AM radio works with new replacement speaker under dash. Blinkers are on the blink; may just be flasher or bad ground or wire (I have to hit steering wheel/dashboard for them to go on, 4 way flashers work normally)... I have extras that can be negotiated separately.... Needs new master cylinder, but does stop; faster when pumping. Horn seems to only have one tone, and I see a wire that looks like it would feed other, but cannot locate terminal! Might as well consider it in need of a fairly full restoration, though I drive it like this every day... Currently registered, insured, with current inspection. Has over-the-shoulder seat belts option for front operator, passenger.
