1969 Plymouth Satellite bought new by my grandmother on April 30th 1969.It was her pride and joy. Has always been garage kept and well maintained. She became unable to drive in 1996 and the car was used very few times until 2002 when it was last licensed. California car so no rust.I pulled it out of the garage and washed the exterior, changed the battery and flushed the fuel system, added fresh gas and it started right up. It starts, runs, drives and idles well. Title has been transferred to my mother so wecan settle the estate. Status in Non-op, pink slip in handand no back fees are due.
The original factory window sticker and dealers contract are included and the factory build sheet is under the back seat.
I washed the exterior but the interior, engine bay and trunk are just as I found them, dust, cobwebs and all.becauseit is not licensed for the road my test drives were limited to 100 yards in my driveway. Maintenance records are incomplete but indicate the car has 137,246 miles. What records we have willgo with the car.
It was involved in a collision in November of 1969 and I believe the passenger side quarter panel as well as the rear deck were replaced, the body putty at both ends of the rear deck is failing, see photos. The A/C compressor belt has been removed for unknown reason. The windshield wiper fluid reservoir is crumbling apart. It givesa puff of blue smoke on startup but that should be expected from a 47 year old car that has never had major engine work done.
