1974 Plymouth Barracuda Cuda
1974 Plymouth Barracuda Cuda Description
1974 Plymouth Cuda. Car has 318/904 engine and transmission. Tons of new parts in this car.
**Engine is 318 with Edelbrock TM5 aluminum intake manifold, mild cam with some lope. Rebuilt not long before I got it. New water pump, new power steering pump, new alternator and brackets, new 3 row aluminum radiator, new motor mounts and trans mount, new power steering gearbox, new mini starter and starter relay, new electronic distributor with internal ignition module, Jacobs high performance ignition coil, new hoses, new belts, basically everything under the hood is new. New Flowtech headers, 2 1/2 inch exhaust with Flowmaster copies that dump at the rearend. Sounds good. New fuel tank and sending unit. New battery mounted in trunk, all new 1 ga cables run neatly to the front. Engine has 60 psi oil pressure, radiator and clutch fan keep it around 180-190.
**Transmission is a 904 with deep summit trans pan, Cheetah reverse manual valve body, brand new Hughes torque converter a step above stock, new external trans cooler and lines. Just had driveshaft built with new ujoints. Has Lokar stainless braided kickdown cable which is unnecessary with the Cheetah valve body.
**Rearend is 8 3/4 with 489 center section, should be open diff with 276 gear. New pinion seal. Leaf spring bushings all replaced with polyurethane bushings. Nothing special, but the 489 chunk is a plus.
**Front and rear sway bars
**All brakes are new as far as master cylinder, front and rear hoses, rotors, calipers, pads, wheel bearings, lines, drums, shoes, wheel cylinders, hardware kits and Wilwood adjustable proportioning valve. Everything basically.
**Car has new quarter panels, trunk lid, roof skin, front fenders, and front lower valance panel. Has rally hood. Used Evercoat DTM high build primer. Painted 2015 Corvette Velocity yellow basecoat clearcoat. Not wet sanded and buffed as of yet. Rockers, frame rails, cowl area and firewall all are excellent. Replaced driver front floor pan and driver rear floor pan. Chassis sealed floor pans, trunk, engine bay and underside of car.
**Wheels are American Racing Outlaw style wheels, all 15". Front tires are brand new, rears are in good condition as well.
**Interior has factory seats front and rear. Buckets with auto console. Seats need to be reupholstered as the vinyl is torn. The door panels are there front and quarters, as well as 2 sets of kickpanels and A pillar trim. They are decent, not flawless. Plan on needing to do the upholstery and carpet. All glass is good, except there is no windshield with the car. Side glass is all installed and back window is out of the car at the moment. All the wiring is there. Has interior trim and headliner bows but there may be a few pieces missing. Steering wheel and column have been repainted. Has white faced triple gauge set installed, bottom painted section of dash including ashtray and glovebox door painted black. Dash is brand new from Year One. Gauge cluster is all good with a nice bezel .
**Have chrome side mirrors, driver side has remote cable.
**Have a 70 front bumper, missing brackets though. Have the rear bumper which I was going to paint body color but havn't yet, have the bumperettes off a 70 for the rear. Brackets are for the 73/4 which protude the bumper out further. Have sill plates, drip rail moldings, lower windshield chrome, pretty sure I've got front and rear window moldings, but might be a little dinged up. Grill is usable but a little beat up with some cracks. The hood inserts are there, someone did cut them out for air intake i guess. I'm sure I'm forgetting a few things but feel free to ask.
