Numbers Matching, Build Sheet, Highly Original
1970 Plymouth Road Runner Description
One family ownership since 1971. 84,701 actual miles. Last titled in 1977 with 78,868 miles.
383 Automatic. Rare K5 Deep Burnt Orange Iridium with White Interior.
Front seat is ripped, vinyl top is bubbling above rear quarters, otherwise this car shows great. I decided not to make these repairs to keep the car as original as possible and leave it up to the next owner.
Car starts, runs and drives strong.
This car was bought used in January 1971 by a guy returning from Vietnam to Massachusetts. He drove it until 1977 then gave it to his Father who re-titled it. The car was garaged from 1978 to 2013. At that point it was 98% original. It needed lower rear quarters and paint.
In 2014 the gas tank was removed and cleaned and the quarters were replaced and the car was painted.
In 2016 I spent over $3,000 to sort the car mechanically. Work included replacement of all fluid lines, master cylinder, battery, various seals and gaskets, switches, etc... See picture of repair receipt in photos.
