This beauty was somebody's baby from day one; I still have the owner's manual, dealer invoice, and other documentsfrom the day it was first leased, all of which arein pristine condition.
Car spent it's whole life in Northern California and Nevada before coming to me in Colorado. I am the third owner, and have a clean, clear title in my name.

CONDITION:
The car had been sitting unused for a very long time before I received it. I've done quite a bit of reconditioning to get it looking good and driving around.
SHEET METAL: Gorgeous. All-original panels. Some very minor dings and bumps - but incredibly straight overall. The body is 99% rust-free. There is one 3" x 3" area of rust starting to peek through on the passenger's side quarter panel, near the rocker, but other wise there is absolutely ZERO rot... Please look at all the pictures!!
PAINT: Finish is 100% original. It's faded and worn thin in spots - as to be expected - but it shines and presents very, very nicely. There is some road tar here and there. Original decals.
TRIM: All present and in excellent shape. Grill has a few minor dings. Chrome very nice. I replaced the headlights and also the turn signal lenses with NOS MoPar pieces.
INTERIOR: As stated, it is all-original and extremely presentable. I did have the bottom seat cushions re-upholstered with NOS MoPar fabric, but otherwise it is 100% untouched from new and very nice overall. Dash nice, Steering wheel uncracked. Door panels very nice but not perfect. Console very nice - Styrofoam cooler still present!!! A new carpet would really make it look mint, but that will be for the new owner to decide.
DRIVETRAIN: I haven't messed with the engine much other than cleaning the carburetor. It starts a little rough but fires up every single time, and runs well once it warms up. Certainly one could do a tune-up but I haven't yet. Trans shifts well. 4wd lo and hi both engage fine; T-case is somewhat hard to shift but it goes fine using some technique. I replaced both bad u-joints on the rear driveshaft. Newer, low-mileage Goodyear off-road 31x10.50x15's have been installed. Brand new battery.
BRAKES: Brakes were inoperable when I got the car. I replaced the rear wheel cylinders and bled the system front and rear. Stops well now, but the front disks will need attention at some point.
A/C: Blows cold.
REMOVABLE TOP: Beautiful. No issues other than lower seal is cracking. It's never been off the car!
OTHER: I repaired the spare tire gate latch. Installed new hatch lift cylinders. New muffler.
SHORTCOMINGS: Steering is not fantastic; these never were. Might need a rod end or two to improve its wandering tendencies. Some will wanta tailpipe out the back. A tune up in the near future. Turn signal switch a little jiggly. Gauges function but aren't extremely accurate. Haven't tried the cruise control.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a 39-year old vehicle that sat for a very long time, as it's low original mileage bears out. It's an incredible running-and-driving time capsule, but it will surely need some sorting out as it is being driven more frequently and re-entered into service.
