I purchased this vehicle in good running condition and because of watching “Overhauling”; I foolishly dismantled the car to do a ‘Restoration’! I had the fenders, doors, hood and trunk all dipped to bare metal. The Trunk lid had some bad rust areas, so I bought a replacement and had that dipped also. I dismantled the motor and sent it out to a machine shop for inspection and freshening, it is in great condition. I had the transmission completely rebuilt. I have replacement floor pan patches for the front and patch panels for the lower corners of the rear window. The K member and several other parts have been powder-coated. In other words, I got in over my head and have run out of money and patience….my lose, your gain!!

As you can see from the photos, I have completely stripped the interior and exterior of the car. I had all the loose parts dip stripped to bare metal (doors, hood, trunk lid, k-frame, etc.) I have sanded and bead blasted the whole front end down to bare metal.

There were some rust holes on the driver and passenger floorboards; I have the replacement floor pan patches. The lower corners of the rear window were also rusted, so I have the patch panels for those.

The K member and several other front end and loose parts have been powder-coated.

In addition to all original parts from the car, I have acquired almost every conceivable part that might be needed to restore the car including all new armrests, door panels, carpet, headliner, door and window handles, glove box, various screw sets, fender turn signals, light bulbs, emblems, window and door seals, a Rallye dash, battery tray, upper control arms, stripe kits, original radio, etc.

The car was advertised and bought as Numbers Matching (I don’t know how to verify and never have). I dismantled the engine and sent it to a machine shop for inspection. After they gave it a good once over, I reassembled it. The engine is a rebuilt 440, 375hp Super Commando V8. I had the transmission gone through and rebuilt by a reputable transmission shop. The transmission is a 3 Speed 727 Torque flite Automatic Transmission.

The car has a console and all the proper parts to put it back to original (the previous owner had taken it out and put a B&M shifter in. The rear end is the original Limited Slip Differential and has not been checked out.

I have a New 3 row Aluminum Radiator to replace the original. The car has power steering and I bought all new parts for it. It also has new front disc brakes and rear drum brakes, I bought a new power brake booster for the system.

This is an original AC car (has AC unit but no AC compressor).

I bought new (reproduction) front bucket seats (to replace the original ones that were stolen); I also have the matching seat cover for original rear seat.

All window glass was removed and is in great condition, I bought all new weather strip, gaskets, clips, felts, etc. for re-installing them.

The car has new front and rear bumpers, and the tires are new.
