1970 Plymouth Barracuda/Cuda Resto Mod 440 Engine 4-speed (Hotchkis & QA1) Hemi
1970 Plymouth Barracuda Cuda Description
This is a Plymouth Barracuda project car with a 440 motor and 4/speed trans for sale. The car was originally a 318 3 speed manual car and was undergoing a recent restoration. This is a non-numbers matching car but a hell of a pro touring cuda. The car has no rust issues and is a CA car. The interior and underneath the car has been coating in multiple stages of POR15, Lizard Skin Sound & Heat coating for a super quiet and cool ride. I have pictures of the floor pan before lizard skin was shot to prove the car was not rusty and rotted out. Currently, the motor, trans and interior have been removed and ready for a rebuild. Just about all the parts of this car come with the sale and is in need of an owner who is willing to finish the project. I have named some of the bigger ticket items below so if you have any additional questions, send me a message so we can chat or speak.
If you are looking for a project you can actually complete fairly quickly, this is the cuda for you. You can easily parse out the work to a machine shop, interior guy and complete this project quickly. The car was recently painted with high-quality PPG paint and PPG clear in Vitamin C orange. Body lines look great. You will appreciate how nice this Cuda looks with the paint and body fresh and done well. Although I would not consider this a show quality paint and body job because those cost around $30,000 for the paint and body alone, this Cuda has over $10,000 in the paint job and would be considered a nice condition Cuda you won't be afraid to drive or show. Pictures don't show completely how nice this car looks in person but you will get the idea after reviewing the pictures.
Here is what I have done to her so far. Please keep in mind this is this is not an all-inclusive list because there has been a ton of money put into this car. These are just a few of the bigger ticket items:

This seems to be a perfect candidate for someone who wants to build a Big Block their way or doing a 392 Hemi swap or even a Hellcat swap if you are brave enough. I don't have the time to deal with tire kickers so serious inquiries only and please bid only if you have the funds available and are ready to purchase. This car is sold As-Is and is by no means a complete, driver car. You will need to be handy or capable of taking on a project like this which will take up your time and put a smile on your face every second you wrench on it. :)
I'm selling the car due to not having the time to currently restore her so my loss is your gain. At the buy it now price, you couldn't get a 70 barracuda in this condition with these upgrades/enhancements for $35,000.
If you have questions, that's what I'm here for. Ask away and I will do my best to get back to you quickly.
Thank you for your time in viewing this listing.
