1967 Plymouth Valiant Base Description

1967 Plymouth Valiant V-100
This is a base model slant-6 rubber floor mat car still wearing it's original CA black and yellow license plates. It does have some interesting factory options for a base model car including factory A/C and full-length bright body molding. However the only remaining A/C components on the car are in the dash i.e. Evaporator and HVAC controls. The Compressor, condenser and lines have all been removed. The slant-6 has a late model 225 head installed. Other mods include a Clifford Aluminum intake, Holley 2bbl and split headers. The motor has just been tuned up and had a new water pump installed. The transmission shifts fine with no drama. There is no tranny kick down linkage with the Holley so down shifts are done manually depending on speed. The motor runs strong for a slant-6 and doesn't leak or smoke. The Valiant is a manual steering manual drum brake car.I was told this was a "show car" back in the 80's as you can see by the fake dual quad set up. The Valiant also has Lakewood Traction bars, old school Cragar SS wheels, tinted windows, Cal Custom steering wheel and a quick fill (Challenger/Charger) style gas door. A extra stock hood that's painted to match will be included in the auction.
The factory interior color is Brown. The dash, headliner and rubber floor covering are still brown. The rest of the interior has been dyed or changed to black. The front seats appear to be out of a 80's VW Scirocco or Rabbit. The interior is very presentable and in nice condition.A newer stereo/CD player has been installed sounds good. All the gauges and lights are operational.
The old laquer paint is still in nice shape and looks good. The Valiant is in amazing shape for a 51 year old car but does have some minor rust. A few small spots around the rear window and on the drivers side rocker. Some very minor bubbling noted on the passenger side rocker Also, on the passenger side front floor pan visible in the under carriage picture right behind the tire. The rest of the body and chassis are very solid and rust free. The Valiant appears to have never been involved in an accident. Some other minor issues with the car include, drivers side door lock rod non-op, feels like it's disconnected inside the door. Horn is non-op. Scratches on windshield from bad wipers. Tires are older and weather checked.
The Valiant is a nice running and driving car with a clean CA title and current registration.
