Rare Bahama Yellow A14 Package

Up for sale is a 1969 Plymouth Road Runner, A14 Spring Special package car. The car has its' original numbers matching 383HP engine, numbers matching 4 speed manual transmission, etc. The VIN tag on the dashboard matches the Fender tag, and numbers on the trunk lip. No Broadcast sheet. The Road Runner is an original special order paint, code 99 Bahama Yellow car, with white interior, white door panels, and tan dash and headliner and tan/black carpet. Non console floor shift. The A14 package consisted of: "black out" hood, reflective side stripes, vinyl top, Magnum 500 wheels, F70 Raised White Letter (RWL) tires, belt moldings, Sure-Grip rear end, etc.I'm likely missing something from the A14 description as I'm not a B-body expert. It was stunning car when built; very cool color combinationtoday.
The car is an obvious 70's "survivor", with very cool panel painting that looks pretty good from 20 feet, but is really, really old, faded, chipping etc. If you are into the "patina" look, just wax this and run with it. The car was ridden hard and put away wet. It was in coveredstorage for the last 20 years or so. It's had a fair amount of body work, I think the roof, or part of it was replaced in period with an NOS Plymouthpart. I have no idea why this repair was made. It was then painted the current "panel" graphic paint scheme in the early to mid 1970's that you see today. The car has rust in the lower quartersand the trunk has some rust. The trunk isn't not gone and can be easily patched. The car has rust but nothing like the guys in the Midwestor the East coastare used to. There is one hole in the rear passengers side floor board, that needs to be replaced. I have an original floor to use as a replacementincluded. Otherwise the floors are very solid. The lower rear wheel well opening was beat up on the passengers side by tire chains. It also appears as the painters/bodymen that worked on the car in the 1970's used a liberal amount of filler wherever they needed to. I don't think it was to cover up rust, as the car has been in the Pacific North West all it's life, they were just not skilled at body work and used filler to "sculpt" the upper belt line. The only real way to know is to strip it down.
The car needs complete restoration, and it is missing a few small bits here and there, but nothing major. The engine exhaust manifolds match, it has its' original Hurst shifter, (missing shifter ball), original white door panelsand white rear seat. It is missing the front seat, which I think was a bench seat, but it could be a bucket seat car. It's missing the originalcarburetor, distributor and I'm sure a small part or two, but nothing that isn't reproduced, like door handles, lock pulls etc. It has the original exhaust tips, propeller shaft with 4-speed yoke. I have not yet been able to get the engine to turn over. I put oil in the cylinders and down the intake, it's been soaking, maybe it will break free, or not. The gearbox goes into and out of gear without issue. Assume that everything needs to be gone through at this point. The Road Runner has original "A14 Package" Magnum 500 wheels with a very, very nice set of trim rings and center caps. The tires are original G70 14 Goodyear Polyglas tires with good tread, but I would only use them for show becauseof their age.
The car comes with a 1969 Satellite4-door parts car, that has solid sheet metal, and a ton of good parts for the rust repair, and small items absent on the A14 car.
This is obviously a full restoration project, but it is really a good foundation to start from. I was just going to rebuild the mechanical parts of the car, redo the interior, make all systems work and then just drive the car as is, becauseI really like the old paint look. It draws a crowd when people come over, its kind neat to show people. It would be much more fun to drive.
