1959 Plymouth Fury -- Description

YAZTEC AUTOMOTIVE INC. IS PROUD TO OFFER THIS TWO OWNER, BEAUTIFULLY RESTORED 1959 PLYMOUTH FURY HARDTOP COUPE FOR SALE. WE WERE TOLD THAT THE CAR WAS ORIGINALLY SOLD IN TEXAS. THE SECOND OWNER FROM FLORIDA PURCHASED THE VEHICLE ON 9/22/2006. THE CAR WAS TOTALLY RESTORED IN 2007. THE CAR IS FINISHED IN CORAL/WHITE WITH CORAL BROWN INTERIOR. ACCORDING TO THE FLORIDA TITLE THE CAR WAS ORIGINALLY TAN. THE PAINT IS ABOUT 11 YEARS OLD. IT IS GLOSSY WITH A DEEP... FINISH WITH SOME MINOR FLAWS BUT IT SHOWS WELL. THE UNDER-CARRIAGE INCLUDING THE FLOOR PANS, TRUNK PAN, INNER AND OUTER SILLS, INNER FENDERS, ETC. IS RUST-FREE ( SEE PHOTOS). WE DID NOT PAINT OR UNDER-COAT THE UNDER-CARRIAGE TO SHOW THE ORIGINALITY OF THIS AMAZING VEHICLE. THE INTERIOR IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. THE CAR IS EQUIPPED WITH THE ORIGINAL 318, V8 ENGINE AND AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WITH PUSH BUTTON CONTROLS. ALSO, IT HAS A WORKING AC. NO POWER STEERING OR POWER BRAKES. THE CAR STARTS, IDLES GREAT, RUNS COOL, PERFORMS WELL, AND STOPS GREAT. WE HAVE A CLEAR FLORIDA TITLE FOR THE CAR. PLEASE READ THE DETAILED DESCRIPTION AND VIEW THE 87 HIGH QUALITY IMAGES PRIOR TO BIDDING. WE ENCOURAGE ALL INTERESTED PARTIES TO INSPECT THE CAR IN PERSON OR HAVE IT INSPECTED BY A THIRD PARTY PRIOR TO AUCTION END. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS CONTACT US: . PLEASE REVIEW OUR (1028), 100% POSITIVE FEEDBACKS AND BID WITH CONFIDENCE. WE HAVE EARNED THEM BY PROVIDING A DETAILED DESCRIPTION FOR EACH ITEM AND CONDUCTING PROPER BUSINESS ON EBAY FOR THE LAST 17 YEARS. HERE IS THE DETAILED DESCRIPTION: EXTERIOR: THE BODY PANELS ARE STRAIGHT AND HAVE GREAT SHUT LINES. THE DOORS OPEN AND CLOSE WITH EASE AND WITHOUT SAGGING.THE PAINT IS OLD BUT GLOSSY WITH A DEEP FINISH. IT HAS SOME MINOR BLEMISHES LIKE SOME VERY LIGHT BLISTERING ( CAN ONLY BE SEEN CLOSE UP UNDER A CERTAIN LIGHT). WE CALL THIS A GOOD DRIVER QUALITY PAINT. ACCORDING TO THE TITLE THE CAR WAS ORIGINALLY A TAN COLOR. IT APPEARS THAT THE DOORS, HOOD, TRUNK LID, ALL GLASS, AND TRIM WERE REMOVED TO CHANGE THE COLOR IN A PROPER WAY. THE BUMPERS AND MISC. APPEAR TO BE RE-PLATED IN THE PAST AND LOOK GREAT. THE STAINLESS STEEL TRIM ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. THE MIRRORS AND SPOT LIGHTS HAVE SOME LIGHT PITTING. ALL GLASS ARE NICE. THE WINDSHIELD HAS A VERY LIGHT SCUFF MARK ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. THE HUBCAPS ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. ALL LIGHT LENSES ARE IN GOOD CONDITION. INTERIOR: THE SEAT COVERS, DOOR PANELS, HEADLINER, AND CARPET ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AND APPEAR TO BE REDONE IN THE PAST. THE DRIVER'S SEAT APPEARS TO BE REPAIRED IN THE SEAM BETWEEN THE CLOTH AND CENTER VINYL PIECE AND HARDLY NOTICEABLE. THE WINDOWS ROLL UP AND DOWN NICELY. THE DASH BEZEL IS IN GOOD ORIGINAL CONDITION. THE STEERING WHEEL NEEDS TO BE RESTORED. THE SOLID BROWN PARTS ARE IN GOOD CONDITION. HOWEVER, THE CLEAR PARTS ARE FALLING APART.. WE HAD TO USE CLEAR TAPE TO KEEP THE PIECES TOGETHER. THERE ARE NO RUST AT THE HINGE LOCATIONS, JAMBS, OR BOTTOM OF THE DOORS (SEE PHOTOS). MECHANICAL: THE 318 ENGINE STARTS IMMEDIATELY EVERY TIME. IT IDLES GOOD, RUNS COOL, AND PERFORMS WELL. THE ENGINE DOES NOT SMOKE. THERE ARE A FEW DROPS OF OIL BELOW THE REAR ENGINE SEAL WHEN THE CAR IS PARKED OVER EXTENDED TIME. THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS GOOD. ALTHOUGH SOMETIMES IT SHIFTS TOO EARLY. THE LINKAGES NEED TO BE ADJUSTED. THE BRAKES AND SUSPENSION FUNCTION PROPERLY. THIS IS ONE OF THOSE OLD VEHICLES THAT IS FUN TO CRUISE IN. THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAD INSTALLED GLASS PACKS SO THE CAR SOUNDS A LITTLE LOUDER THAN NORMALL MUFFLERS. ELECTRICAL: ALL LIGHTS, GAUGES, TURN SIGNALS, HORN, ETC. WORK. THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAD INSTALLED AN UPGRADE THAT BEEPS WHEN TURN SIGNALS ARE IN USE. WE ARE NOT SURE IF THE ORIGINAL RADIO AND CLOCK WORK. THE SPOT LIGHT ON THE LEFT WORKS, THE ONE ON THE RIGHT NEEDS A BULB. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT LOOKS VERY NICE AND CLEAN. IT IS OBVIOUS TO CHANGE THE COLOR FROM TAN TO CORAL THEY HAD TO REMOVE EVERY COMPONENT FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT AND FIREWALL. TRUNK: THE TRUNK IS CLEAN BUT NOT FULLY DETAILED. THE ORIGINAL TRUNK PAN IS SOLID. WE DID NOT WANT TO PAINT THE ORIGINAL TRUNK PAN TO HIDE THE ORIGINALITY OF THIS VEHICLE. THE CAR HAS THE SPARE TIRE, JACK AND LUG WRENCH. GENERAL NOTES, PAYMENT, SHIPPING: WE HAVE TRIED TO DESCRIBE A 59 YEAR OLD CAR TO THE BEST OF OUR ABILITY AND PROVIDED 87 HIGH QUALITY PHOTOS. PLEASE REVIEW THEM BEFORE BIDDING.
