Restored 1947 Plymouth Coupe
1947 Plymouth Special Deluxe Description
1947 Plymouth Special Deluxe Club Coupe.
The car is in excellent condition. Older restoration brought back up to speed:
Engine:Engine has been gone through and checked out. Tuned up: New Plugs, Wires, Cap & Rotor. Oil was changed 200 miles ago. Does not smoke, knock, or ping. Carb was rebuilt and tuned and idles fine. fuel lines replaced.
Electrical: Battery is a 6 volt and is reverse ground. Wiring is older but everything works as it should minus the raidio. (The heater works!)
Transmission: 3 Speed Manual on the column. Shifts as it should with no hesitations. Gets up to freeway speeds (50-65 MPH)
Brakes: Brakes have been gone through, new shoes, wheel cylinders and brake lines.
Body: Car is in overall great shape. The paint job 10-15 years old but still shines nice. It is not by any means perfect and has a few knicks and imperfections here and there. Passenger side rear fender has a miniscule dent and minor imperfection. The rear quarters have very minor bubbling, thats it. The car has no rot and is very solid (refer to the trunk picture). It originally came from a dry Texas climate.
Tires: 4 Brand New Coker Firestone wide whites.
Chrome & Stainless: Chrome bumpers and parts in excellent shape with no pitting. Stainless shines but I not perfect. Hubcaps have been polished and repainted the correct red on the Plymouth logo.
