1967 Plymouth GTX GTX Description

1967 Plymouth Belvedere GTX 440, AT, PS, PB. This GTX started life 5/5/67 and was sold out of Ukiah, CA. I acquired this car still in Northern CA a little over 4 years ago and has been garaged since. Vehicle was no longer #’s matching upon purchase. It had a ’68 440 and 727 trans was out of a 67-68 440 2BL. Currently this car has a 500hp 1975 block with a TCI Streetfighter 727, Boss Hogg 3200 converter, DANA 60 3.23. Engine has break in time only. Wiring is getting old and stock set up would not support MSD system so as you can see in the pics all the wiring is exposed. AQuik Wire harness ready to install is on hand. Voltage regulator and alternator have been upgraded but car is currently set up with point drive distributor. The sweet part of this whole deal is what’s on the side. On the stand is a period correct 440 block. This motor is a 440 stroker to 512 with Mopar Source stoker kit at .040. Mopar Source aluminum heads with Comp Cams spring and keepers. Comp Cams 23-225-4 camshaft, Mopar Source roller rockers, Edelbrock Torker 2 manifold, MSD 6A, and MSD pro billet distributor. Build sheet is tattered but still here, even have the original ignition key. Obtained all the documents for this car from The Chrysler Historic Society. Glove box operating manual, Copy of build sheet, copy of options pocket card, etc. Car looks good but there are chips and scratches in the paint. Original color of this car was ZZ1 Gold Metallic. If this car does not sell I will try and continue build, returning it to it’s original color. So yes paint is needed but this bad boy is straight with no imbedded rust. Interior is still in very nice condition. New BF Goodrich Silvertown red lines on Wheel Vintiques rims. Receipts galore, I am taking a huge hit on this project but as they say you never get what you have in it. Here’s the breakdown:

R = Plymouth 116”

S = Special

23 = 2-door hardtop

L = 440-4 HP 8-cyl.

7 = 1967

5 = Los Angeles, CA

154633
