1972 Plymouth Duster Description

Al Bundy's "Dodge" can finally be yours!

1972 Plymouth Gold Duster, correct A64 code Real Deal Gold Duster package car.

Snakeskin vinyl top !!!! WOW!

2 owners. Build Sheet, fender tag, door sticker, inspection marks, numbers matching, never been taken apart, old lady car. The doors close like a bank vault!

This is a car that you can hop in and drive. It has never left me stranded, I drove it daily in Orlando for about 5 years. 156,000 original miles. I did a tranny service when I bought the car back in 2010 and it had the original filter in it from the factory! We did ditch the bench seat up front for buckets . The rear seat was dyed to match. The car got Fat Mat insulation and a new carpet at that time. The doors were also done (keep the cool in and heat out). I added a new Sanden compressor and under dash A/C unit (blows cold, has aux fan too). We also added an Aluminum 4 core, heavy duty radiator. Electronic Petronix ignition, new brakes all the way around, converted to Kelsey and Hayes disc with new calipers, drilled rotors, and EBC Yellow Stuff pads. It has a newer PST bushing kit and did all of the suspension recently (it will need upper control arm bushing, the brick roads are tough downtown). The sharktooth grille was installed new last year. The package tray is also new. The alternator is a new 130 amp from a Dakota. I did everything to make the car reliable and safe. New Optima battery also. Also has big block torsion bars and a large front sway bar.

The car is priced right for somebody to do the lower quarter extensions and give it some new paint and enjoy it. Or, do what I had planned and swap a newer Hemi into it and have a killer ride. There are a lot of options if you are a dealer and want to make it a $50k car, it is a solid foundation to do that.

It won`t take much to make this a really awesome car! (which it is already).

I tried to show the good, the bad and the ugly when doing the photos. The Duster is originally from Seattle and they don`t salt the roads in the winter. I have owned it since 2010 and can tell you it needs the following to be a perfect, restored car:

1/4 extensions replaced - new Goodmark ones come with the car

transmission pump seal leaks

valve cover leaks

heater core needs to be replaced ( disconnected)

tires are okay but, not great

fuel sender needs a ground or replaced (fuel gauge works when it wants to)

3 speed wiper switch sticks

snakeskin top could use some dye

dash pad has cracks and should be changed

Probably some other small details, you understand what you are getting at this point.

This car has a solid body, never abused, and has been loved since day 1.

If you need any other information or have questions, please contact me!

As always - sold as-is, where-is, no refunds, returns, or exchanges

Local pick up only in Orlando,Fl

It is a great car! And... it needs a good home!

Al Bundy, where are you?

I was asked if the window tint would come off easily. It should, probably not legal for most states.

I was also asked what the insurance costs, it is dirt cheap through Classic Collectors and they do agreed value.

I will include a brand new Stinger Fiberglass 6 pak hood if you pick up the car locally with your trailer.
