1971 Plymouth Road Runner Description

Real RM23 VIN Roadrunner,  turn key driver HP 383 Pistol Grip 4 speed driver w good metal. Drive it or take it to the next level,  Either way, fairly priced West coast non rust bucket and not a basket case.

For a real Big Block manual transmission Roadrunner it's priced very fairly and think the first person with realistic expectations and funds will buy it.

This is a real turn key driver quality 1971 Plymouth Roadrunner from out West. It is not however numbers matching which is why it is so inexpensive. There were only about 14,000 1971 road runners made and very few remaining and fewer this clean.

It has a very healthy 1968 383 in it which has more compression than it's 71 counterpart. Ceramic coated premium headers, Mopar valve covers, original air cleaner and new 2.5 X pipe exhaust w Magnaflow mufflers. It is NOT loud and sounds beautiful.

The car was an original 3 speed manual (which I do have for the car and is included) but was properly converted to a Hurst Pistol Grip 4 speed and has a rebuilt A833 4 speed w Ram clutch and flywheel. The pistol grip is new from Brewer's and it shifts perfect and feels excellent.

Interior is very respectable w no tears.  I believe it was a bench seat before I got it but the buckets are comfortable, sit right and the upholstery has no tears.

It has a 3.23 Sure Grip 8.75 rear w new brakes.  Great gear for cruising!

Steers perfect w a new upgraded steering box from Steer & Gear w a modern feel.

The paint on this cool and rare ride is driver quality and quite old. It is respectable as it is but would need painted to be show quality.  Underside has no flaky rust all over it like a midwestern bucket.

Coolest things about the car is the original Hemi orange, 4 speed pistol grip A833  manual transmission and no vinyl top. It does have factory front disc brakes, and hood mounted turn signals. It has a nice looking retro underdash AC that is not hooked but looks to be complete.

I have contacts to aid in shipping and can offer educated guesses for what it will cost based on where you are but final arrangement will be up to you.  I have a 15 year old Classic Jeep business if you want to see who you are dealing with.  www.rudys-cjs.com
