1970 Plymouth Barracuda Cuda Description

This auction is for a pretty rare 1970 Plymouth Cuda. This car is equipped from the factory with a 340, 4-speed, FC7 In-Violet paint, and the desirable N96 Shaker Hood. Original fender tag but no Broadcast Sheet. Original transmission and 8.75 3.23 open rear. Engine is not original but very close to the SPD and sequence number in the VIN. Engine is freshly rebuilt, all receipts, and has not been started. All of the 340 specific Shaker parts are there (extremely hard to find) except the minor stuff you can find aftermarket. The hood is an older Gene Gregory modified standard hood (real 1970 hood) which was done way before AMD came out with theirs. Also comes with brand new M&H harnesses for the entire car (dash, engine, etc). Carburetor is fully restored as is the 3spd wiper motor.
Rust is like all typical E-Bodies in the cowl, extreme lower quarters including extensions, rear area of the trunk pan, and the driver's floor is scaly with some small holes due to the cowl. It's nowhere near as bad as most others. Most parts could be patched. A new AMD upper cowl is included. The car has had the original cowl removed before I bought it for rust repair underneath and it is included since it has the VIN numbers stamped in it. Radiator support, cowl, fender tag, and door tags all match. You can still see factory markings on the rear carrier, torsion bars, brake backing plates, lower control arm, and transmission.
The car is an extremely worthwhile project: 70 Cuda, High Impact color, 4spd, Shaker hood. Add to that the fact that this is one of about 10 known small block Shaker Hood Cudas for 1970 (only two known in FC7 and the other has a black top) with production for these cars being less then 30, more than likely. It's worth it in the end all day long. You won't find another!
No trades. The car can sit here in my shop until you arrange pickup. The are a few boxes of parts that should fit in the trunk and back seat. Ask any questions and I'll be happy to answer them. Good luck bidding!
