1969 Plymouth Road Runner -- Description

1 owner most of it's life. We bought it from the 2nd owner. 52,000 actual miles, vin # matched 383 Magnum and 4-speed. Original rust free metal. Rare factory colors, repainted only once. Feels and fits like a low mile car is supposed to!
EXTERIOR: Very rare factory colors- Scorch red bottom and Alpine white roof. We were told all the body panels are original and the best I can tell that is true. The gaps are right on, panels fit flush, every panel is straight. Doors shut like a new car, even with the windows rolled up. Only 1 repaint, has a very glossy smooth finish similar to factory. Bumpers have bright chrome. Grill is in really nice shape, the argent gray is not worn. Nice original moldings, handles and mirror. Taillights are mints. Glass and weatherstrips are original. The vintage style 15 inch Cragar wheels shine like brand new and has some meaty size BFG tires.
INTERIOR: Excellent, mostly original condition. Only the front seat has been reupholstered. Seat cushions still feel good. Original carpet, door panels, rear seat, headrests are still excellent. Dash area is mint, no damage. Has factory radio. Vintage matching set of Sun tachometer and oil pressure gauges were installed in the 70s. Overhead light works, has new Road Runner floormats, correct bench seat shifter.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Has vin # matched 383 Magnum with a few bolt on performance upgrades- aluminum intake, Holley carb and headers. The original manifolds are included. The engine runs strong, starts right up with no issues. The engine bay looks to still have it's original red paint, no signs of damage or rust. Has matching vin # on core support. Original fender tag is still in place. The original "Meep Meep" horn still works.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Clean original metal. It was resprayed with spatter finish paint. Has complete jack and spare and rubber mat.
UNDERSIDE: The metal is dry as a chalkboard! No signs of rot at all. The floors, frame rails, rockers are clean original metal. The components look proper- bottom of motor and trans is clean, e-brake is hooked up, has air shocks in back, exhaust looks good with correct tips. The rear end has clean bolts and fresh paint like it's been serviced not too long ago.
It is rare to find a low mile survivor muscle car like this. Sure you can find grandma's grocery getter with low miles, but not too many people left a big block 4-speed sitting around. This is what the Road Runner was all about, a no frills affordable muscle car. The colors really are very desirable!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
