1968 Plymouth Fury Description

The time has come to reduce the number of cars that I own. I have owned this car for 19 years and have never found the time to do anything with it. I am the third owner of this car. The first two owners lived in Orlando Florida and kept the car under a carport. I had it shipped to Connecticut in early 2001 and it was kept in a garage during its life in Connecticut. I moved to Lincolnton, NC (just north of Charlotte) in October of 2019 this car has been sitting on my trailer with a car cover on it, on my trailer since we relocated to North Carolina.
This car has 51,338 miles on it. This is the correct mileage. The front carpet underneath the carpeted floor mats still look great, although faded in some areas that are not under the floor mats. I have a clear Florida title and a bill of sale from the folks that I bought this car from.
You would be hard pressed to find a car with a cleaner undercarriage. No frame rot/rust issues, solid, original lower quarters, trunk floor extensions and trunk floor. The car was repainted once a long time ago and the paint faded in the Florida sun.
There are some rust issues around the back window and just below the lower C pillar vinyl top moldings on both sides with a hole below the lower trim piece on the left side C pillar and some holes at the right rear of the rear/back window. The vinyl top needs a good cleaning and I only saw once small rust bubble under the vinyl top on the passenger C pillar.
The car was hit on the left rear while parked. I have a section of quarter panel from a parts car that could be grafted in if you don't want to straighten it.
I have the molding that is off the left front fender and it comes with the car. It just needs new clips to be reinstalled. Whoever buys this car can contact me for help with some parts for this car as well as questions.
The body has a few dings but other than the accident damage is very straight.
Because the car has been sitting it will only run off a gas can at this time. The gas tank needs to be drained and cleaned and the fuel line should be cleaned as well. I drove it out of the garage, down the driveway and onto my trailer.
The master cylinder failed while this car has been sitting and the right front brake wheel cylinder was leaking when I got the car so the brakes will need some attention. The parking brake works just fine.
The driver's door window is currently held up with a piece of wood wedged in between the window and the door. The window wants to drop into the door. Most likely one of the plastic clips broke.
This is a power drum brake car with the optional 15" wheels. The car has a/c, power windows, a rear radio speaker with the fader switch and the rare deluxe (optional) steering wheel.
The driver's seat area needs some work as the stitching has dry rotted over the years.
I think that photos speak for themselves.
Questions are welcome. I have posted a lot of photos at:
