Real Road Runner, #s match 4-speed pistol grip!
1970 Plymouth Road Runner Description
Fresh restoration bottom to top. Tough looking and sounding muscle car!
EXTERIOR: The 70 is my favorite year. I like the black stripes down the hood and the Road Runner dust trail stripe going down each side. The paint is very glossy. The body's real straight and smooth, panels fit real square and flush. No bubbles along the bottoms, fenders are clean metal. Bottom of the doors are clean, jambs have been repainted, weatherstrips and sill plates are replaced. Front bumper looks rechromed, the grill actually looks new, has new hood pins and the correct antenna. The stainless all around the windows and gutters look new. Windshield has been replaced. 15 inch rims were color matched and have poverty caps. Has a great stance.
INTERIOR: I just sat down in the car, the buckets feel real good, they must have new cushions. Front and back seats have been reupholstered. It has the buddy cushion armrest in the best part is the pistol grip shifter stick coming out of the floor. The instrument panel area is real nice, has original am radio, nothing is cut up or broken. Gauges all appear to be restored. Door panels and armrests were replaced. Has the air grabber switch under the dash.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The engine bay has all nice, clean straight metal. The original fender tag is still attached, the VIN number on the core support matches the car. Very correct 1970 383 motor with a factory air grabber system, it is complete and functional. It has a set of Hedman headers. It has a Mopar radiator, has the Shroud. It also features power steering. Washer bottle is hooked up to the squirters, wiper motor looks new. All the components are cleaned up and painted. Headliner and carpet looks excellent.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Complete new trunk pan and full quarter panels. It's all painted lime light green to match the exterior. Smooth, glossy paint.
UNDERSIDE: It's been restored. Upfront the ball joints, bushings, hardware looks like it's been replaced. In back it has new shocks. Exhaust system is recent, has a crossover pipe and the correct tips. The bottom of the motor is clean, the casting date is period correct. The 4-speed is vin # matched to this car. The fuel tank and straps look new. The brakes have been gone through, e-brake cables look complete. Floors & frame rails appear to be really clean metal.
Very cool muscle car, sounds great. The fender tag does decode as a real Road Runner born with a 4-speed and air grabber. The air grabber worked, then did not in the video. The shop will fix it if they haven't already.
