classic vintage MOPAR muscle car MSD Dakota Digital high impact color
1972 Plymouth Other 340 Tribute Restomod Description
This 1972 Plymouth Cuda 340 Tribute Restomod has a style all of its own. That's a good thing considering it also has a Jeff Kerns built performance V8 that keeps this Mopar growling. So dig into the details on a coupe that's vintage, upgraded, and absolutely awesome.
If this coupe has the straight and clean look of something quite fresh, that's because its restoration was completed this summer and there have been less than 25 miles on the odometer since then. There were thousands $$$$$ invested making sure this 'Cuda tribute looked and felt correct. The paint was a $8,500 investment all on its own... and it's absolutely worth it. This is Plymouth's famous Lemon Twist from the High Impact color palette. It's the kind of finish we love, and so it's nice to see they also added it to the bumpers and rear spoiler for a custom look. The bright yellow also makes for an ideal contrast for all the black accenting. The dark grille and hood scoops add plenty of intimidation. The same goes for the blackout rear panel. The classic black hockey stick stripe shows off some of our favorite curves of this coupe, and the modern 18-inch Ridler black alloys really announces there's more to this car than just vintage appeal.
All the dark hints of the exterior also get you ready for the full black interior. It all has the clean and crisp look that's another reminder about the big investments in this coupe. This has all the classic Mopar elements you love, like the high-back bucket seats, a center console built around the driver, and a dual-spoke sports steering wheel. But the full round Rally gauge panel now has new and clear Dakota Digital gauges. It's a sure sign of more great upgrades. So while this has an AM/FM/CD stereo, you really can tell that your favorite soundtrack will originate from under the hood.
The engine bay is smooth, clean, and painted the exterior-matching bold yellow. And the V8 in the middle has a nice stock look, right down to the factory air topper. We would all be happy with the advertised 340 four-barrel motor, but soon you'll discover something far more wicked. It's actually a full performance build by the masters at Kerns Motor Builders. It starts with a larger 360 cubic-inch V8 and it has been stoked to 408ci total. It was built to be a stout powerhouse, and there's now an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and intake on top. There are even quality supporting pieces like an MSD ignition and dual remote oil filters with pressure gauge. The full package is estimated at a street-eating 425 horsepower, and the TTI dual exhaust has the deep tones to let people really know not to mess with this one. You have full control over this big power package now that the three-speed transmission features a TCI reverse manual body. It also has a lightened flywheel and small stall converter. This feeds a rebuilt limited slip rear end. The suspension was beefed up for the performance package, and you also have power brakes with discs up front and the grip of modern sport tires. It all makes for a solid and speedy total package.
The sale comes complete with the factory buildsheet, restoration photos, and about $20k in recent build receipts. This is a wild 'Cuda that's ready for you to tame it. Call now!
