1968 Plymouth Custom Suburban 9 passenger Supercharged 440
1968 Plymouth Custom Suburban Description
1968 Plymouth Custom Suburban. Original Georgia car that came factory with a 383 but I have changed it to a 440. The engine was built by Nalley Race engines in Carnesville Georgia and has about 600 miles since build. Engine has a forged crankshaft with Eagle rods and Keith Black forged pistons. The engine was bored .030 over and torque plate honed. It is equipped with a complete Comp cam roller setup. The heads are Edelbrock RPM and a RPM intake.I installed a set of TTI ceremic headers with an H pipe and a set of Magnaflow mufflers.I recently installed a Torqstorm Supercharger with a Weldon fuel pump, MSD BTM ignition box and quick fuel pressure regulator and a Demon 750 Blow through Carburetor. I had all 3 seats recovered on the inside and a new carpet kit. The rear passenger floorboard had a rust hole and we repaired it and painted all of the floor pans with POR 15. I removed the headliner and installed sound deadening on the roof and the very rear of the car. The car has a new Alpine stereo system including 6.5 and 5 1/4 speakers and a Alpine amp. I installed LED lights inside and outside of the car and halo headlights. The transmission was rebuilt before I purchased the car and I installed a 2800 stall converter. I rebuilt all of the brakes on the car and had the fuel tank removed and boiled and sealed.Southern Gear in Atlanta installed a new 323 sure grip differential with Yukon Axles. I installed new wheels and tires and lowered the car 1.5 inches. The windows are tinted with 20%. The car was repainted years ago and faded nicely so I had it clear coated in a flat finish. The car shows great patina wear all around. I also had to install a functional hemi Dart hood scoop to clear the supercharger plumbing. I have the original bill of sale and build sheet for the car and I will write a Georgia bill of sale to the buyer. This is a very cool car and turns heads all day long when its driven and has a mean tone from the exhaust and that distinctive supercharge whistle and starts building boost at 1800 RPM's. I know I am forgetting to list something about it but I have done most of the work on the car over the last year and have most receipts including the engine and rear end work. This car runs and drives great and has TONS of torque as you can imagine. If your are looking for something different...here it is!Keep in mind that this is a 50 year old car and it is not perfect. The windshield has some scratches from a wiper malfunction. The dash pad is cracked and the instrument cluster has some cracks also. The door panels are the only thing I have not replaced on the inside. They are driver quality but could be replaced. The driver side fender is a little lighter than the rest of the car but as I said the car is extremely cool. Please contact me with any questions.
