1970 Plymouth ‘Cuda 440-6
Genuine “V” Code 440 Six Pack “Shaker”
Complete Restoration and multiple show winning ‘Cuda
In 1970, 33,906 Barracuda hardtops were built, of which 16,710 were Cuda’s. Only 852 came from the factory with the 440+6 and automatic transmission. BS23V0B178891 was built on Nov 5th, 1969. It was originally ordered for a local Plymouth salesman, which accounts for its unusual combination of high performance (Cuda) and Luxury (Gran Coupe) options. Known back then as a “RED LETTER CAR, Showcase-Dealer Demo order. 26 options were stamped on theoriginal “two” fender tagsand 11 other options were also included in the original options packages. This makes this car one of the highest optioned six-packs ever built by Plymouth. All of its ownership is fully documented and comes with the sale. Four full binders of information, documentation, magazines, certifications, build sheets, photos, de-coding’s, and tags come with this car. It is the most documented car I have seen in 25 years of selling specialty vehicles.
In addition to the 440+6 rarity, it is also one of the one of the very few original Rallye Red option Cudas with front and rear (A22) elastomeric bumpers, it is the only color correctly coded from the factory with painted shaker, mirrors and bumpers. This truly makes it a special car.
Allbody stampings (fenders, dash, cowl, radiator yolk, door, ect)Match.
