1970 Plymouth GTX Description

1970 Plymouth V Code GTX,

V code, 440-6, 4 speed, 3:54 Dana, N96 Air grabber.

This is a real V code, 4 speed, FK5 burnt orange exterior with FK5 burnt orange interior, bucket seat, console interior. Black hood stripes, black side stripes. I have owned this car for 13 years and am the third owner. Restoration was started when I got the car then the project was stored away until now. I’ve decide to sell as I’ve got too many projects right now. Car is pretty much complete and I’ve tried to include pics of everything. Car is disassembled as seen in the pics.

Galen doc’s and registry and listed on the 1970 GTX Registry.

Everything is bagged and tagged when disassembled; as well I have many pictures and details documenting the disassembly.

VIN tag, fender tag and body numbers match, no build sheet.

Engine is a warranty replacement block with the “S” stamped on top pad for “Service Engine” un-stamped VIN pad with a Jan 1970 build date. Original owner said this engine was in the car when he purchased it new. I was told it was rebuilt in mid-80’s by Coleman Brothers Speed Shop in Elkridge MD. It appears it hasn’t been run since. Numbers matching 18 spline Hemi trans and 3:54 Dana rear end. Correct Chrysler steel intake with correct Holley carbs. Air cleaner is repro.

Metal work is complete, new floors, trunk, quarter panel’s wheel houses etc. Most panels replaced were rust free Arizona parts. The hard part is completed and it’s ready for final body work and paint. This is an absolutely gorgeous rotisserie restored body. The metal work is done. It will be shipped on a set of body dollies as per pics.

N96 Air grabber car. I have all the air grabber components. The hood is one I begin making out of two hoods as this was before reproduction hoods were available.

Woodgrain Rallye dash, Tick Tock tach, radio, console, high back bucket seats with bright orange piping.

Some new parts are included, new brake lines and fuel lines, front end kit and bushings, new rad, gas tank, interior screw kit and more.

All of the pieces are bagged and labeled when the car was disassembled along with plenty of detailed pictures.

A few missing things are, fan shroud, clutch fan and 2” rear brake drum. I’m sure that there will be other small items missing but you get everything that was with the car when I purchased it as well as everything I have bought over time.

I have a mint old set of 15” Polyglass tires for the car, No rims

So to conclude, the body is all metal and ready for final body work and paint. Consider that all the rest of the parts, interior, drive train etc. need to be restored.
