Sale or Trade 426 Hemi Cuda 4 Speed Project Hard Work Done HOLY GRAIL. OH YES, IT IS A HEMI……………… I am selling this for my buddy and I don't think he will have it long so don't wait this won't last. Boys this is the Holy Grail of Holy Grails of Garage Finds. This is a perfect car for the father son winter project and when you are through, you will have a $65,000-$75,000 car. Car, Fender Tag, Clean/Clear title in hand. No this is not a numbers matching Hemi car, This car started off it's life as a 1972 Hemi Orange 340-4 barrel, Automatic, Disc Brake Cuda or which they only built 7828 "Cudas" in 72 and only 1701 were 340 automatics, low production numbers are why these cars bring huge money, there were 40,999 Camaros built in 72 and 29951 Firebirds built in 72 so these cars are few and far between especially in this condition. This car is solid as a rock, solid frame, floors, trunk, etc and the underneath has been bead blasted and painted Sublime Green as well as the engine compartment, the rest of the car is covered in Por 15 primer waiting final assembly, final filler coat, final sand, final block sand, wet sand and paint then this car will be stunning. The car has a reworked K-Member with all new front suspension. Now, let's get to the "Elephant" in the room or should I say the "Elephant" in the engine bay. It is a completely rebuilt 1971 426 hemi, it was rated in 71 as having 425 horsepower and 490 ft lbs of torque, but that was only done for insurance purposes, this engine put out 575 HP and 690 ft lbs of torque according to the NHRA, but it gets better, the engine is stamped Jim Glenn on the front pad and we haven't been able to confirm this yet, but it is believed to one of Jim "Shady" Gleen's Hemi engines from the early days of him racing Funny Cars, what a plus, it would be super cool if this was one of his first Hemi Charger Funny Car engines. Like I said this engine is all newly rebuilt, never fired yet. It has an A-833 18 spline "New Process" 4 speed transmission with a short throw "Pistol Grip Shifter", new clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing. It has an8 3/4 sure grip rear end with believed 3:73 gears. It has new black vinyl upholstery on the seats and it has the Rallye dash with tach and clock showing 00561 on the odometer.. Yes, this car needs work, yes, you are going to have to spend some money on it, but like I said, it will be a super high dollar car when it is done. There is a truck load of parts that go with this car. It is not getting any cheaper $32,500 is the number or a higher dollar trade, the engine is worth $20,000 or more. The numbers in N.A.D.A Classic Cars on just the Cuda are low $18,000 and $63,000 high and on a Hemi Cuda $296,000 low and $671,000 high so do the math and Come get this car 812 255 0284 located in Vincennes, Indiana
