This 1971PontiacFirebird Esprit was restored in 2006 with the following new parts: windshield, rebuilt engine, transmission, thermostat & gasket, spark plugs and wires, temp sender unit, fuel pump and filter, radiator and hoses, heater hose and heater core, alternator, fan belt, A/C compressor and freon, receiver dryer, water-pump, gasket, ball joints, 245/50R17 wheels and wheel lock kit, starter, battery, and heater control valve.
The following were the cosmetic restorations: refinished and prepped front bumper, repair to left rear quarter panel for rust (removed), complete paint including door jams and engine compartment, wheel alignment, windshield replaced, replaced carpet and installed window crank and reupholstered seats, and added Firebird Formula hood.
The car has been driven since the restoration and is still running good. Could be used as a daily driver. Rebuilt engine has less than 5k miles. Somepaint imperfections/chips, a few light scratches. Hood alignment is not perfect as hood replacement was a Formula versus Esprit model. Crack in middle of dash from sun exposure over the years; otherwise, interior in good condition. Fan not working to use heat/air. Original radio not functioning currently. Selling car as-is.
· Features:This is an original car with the main changes being the Formula hood and rear exhaust (Flow Master).
· History:My mom purchased this car in 1971 and drove it off the showroom floor in Fresno, CA. Family owned. California car.
