1984 Pontiac Fiero Indy 500 Official Pace Car
1984 Pontiac Fiero Indy Description
Here we have a very cool and hard to find 1984 Pontiac Fiero Indy 500 Pace Car Edition. The car has very low miles and runs and drives. It has the 2.5 Iron Duke 4 cyl. as all 84 Fieros did, but this one has the one year only, and very desirable Muncie M194 speed manual trans with 4.10 gears and positraction. It has a new clutch, clutch master and slave cylinders as well as the braided steel clutch line. Overall the car is nice and pretty clean compared to your typical Fiero nowadays. The seats do need a little attention to the leather portion of the upholstery at the bolsters which is typical for these cars, but the rest of the interior is surprisingly nice, no cracks at the corners and no swelling or peeling on the center console or glove box door. The carpet needs a cleaning but is nice and the door panels are very nice as well with the red overall still very bright and nice. The headliner was "recovered" by someone who should not do another one and will need to be done again the right way. The original wheels are missing and it has the ones you see on it now. All the correct badging is on the car and intact. The white paint has seen better days but the perk of white is that it doesn't show imperfections like other colors, that being said, if you want it perfect, it will need paint. Mechanically it is a good little car, the rear covers are in the trunk and the sunroof deflector is up front in its holder along with the original spare. This was always the one to own if you are a Fiero lover. I already have too many projects and as much as I hate to see this one go, I would rather see someone finish it and enjoy it than have it sit here for years until I have time to do it myself.
