1971 Pontiac Firebird Esprit with deluxe interior. Purchased in 2010 from the original owner’s estate. Grandson and I take it to car shows and local cruise nights. Less than 1000 miles have been put on it since purchase and it is garaged and covered.
Suspension has been thoroughly rebuilt. New ball joints, tie rods, coil springs, bushings, shocks front and rear, and Mcgaughys 2”drop spindles. Also have bushings for rear springs, not installed.
Engine is original 350 with 86000 miles. Good oil pressure, does not over hea, and no oil drips on floor of garage. I have driven this car on the freeway in stop and go traffic with no overheating. Radiator was serviced at shop, new battery, new alternator, new plugs and plug wires. I don’t have the original a/c compressor but most of the a/c parts are still on car, and a used Sanden compressor is included.Edelbrock dual quad system is on the car.
Th350 transmission was serviced and B&M shift kit installed. New brake pads and shoes installed, differential fluid changed. 15” rally rims with beauty rings, and new BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires, and new Pypes exhaust system installed. A set of Hooker Competition headers are included, but not installed.
Formula hood and rear spoiler (Black Primer)installed. White paint (not original) is decent. Passenger rear quarter panel has signs of rust under paint. A crack in paint is behind passenger windowand driver side of front bumper has paint damage. Pictures included.
Interior seats are original fabric in great condition front and back. There is slight damage to side of driver seat back, picture is enclosed. Headliner is good. New Deluxe door panelsinstalled. I Had to use original bottoms (reproductions not available). Driver plastic door pocket is broken. Picked up good used originals, they are in trunk.Installed Formula steering wheel. All dash gauges work, except clock. There is a crack in top of dash on driver side.
I have tried to describe this Firebird to the best of my ability, it is not a Formula or Trans Am. You don't see many 2nd generation Firebirds around anymore.
