This car has a 1964 Pontiac Bonneville engine and transmission in itwhich came from a car that had only 4200 miles on it. This car has only been driven approximately 100 milessince then to a couple of local car shows. The total miles on the car nowis 72608. It also has the alternator which was stock in the 1964 389 cu inch engine.

I went out today and started the car. It was last started in July this year. It started right up and ran smooth. I checked the lights, horn, signals, power steering. They all function good. Even the brakes that I thought was loosing fluidhad not lost any,and the car stopped well. They may still need checking though. The radiator had not lost any fluid. I saw no fluidleaks from the car.

I took the car out today and drove 16 miles on the Interstate and it drove very well. steering and control was excellent. Engine ran smooth. Heater and signals work. Brake light work. GasGaugework but I don't know if it is correct. There is a problem with the brakes. The petal is hard and the car hadalmost no stopping power at the end of the 16 miletrip. I talked to a mechanic at Firestone and he said that it probably is the brake booster or wheelcylinders going bad from sitting over a period of time.Other than that, the car drove very well and smooth. Transmission shift very smooth. Power steering was very smooth and easy. The only problem I saw was the brakes. Tires are new.
