1967 Pontiac GTO Description

Like the look of the GTO, ut maybe a bone-stock restoration isn't quite what you had in mind? Are you a fan of performance but don't want to give up a comfortable interior to get it? If you answered yes to either question, ou might want to give this slick 1967 Pontiac GTO a closer look. The electric blue paint job isn't going to keep you out of sight, ut if it's attention you want, his car is pretty good at getting it. Finished a few years ago, t has an undeniable street fighter look that's matched by the shiny paint and scooped hood to give it a very aggressive look. Finish quality is extremely good, ith awesome prep work giving it a brilliant, eep shine and wave-free quarter panels. It was originally Linden Green, o the color change is totally understandable and we can't argue with the choice when the results are this eye-poppingly good. This is a real GTO, o it wears the proper badges in the proper locations, s well as the mesh grille inserts that still resonate today. Chrome bumpers sparkle against the bright blue paint while all the stainless appears to have been polished up to really make this car look crisp. The bucket seat interior has obviously been nicely maintained, ith certain items being restored as needed. The pleated seats and nicely detailed door panels emphasize Pontiac's upscale ambitions and few cars combined sport and sophistication better than the Goat. The carpets are recent as well and are protected by heavy-duty rubber mats, hile the wood appliques on the dash and center console are probably original. The instruments also appear to be original, o the faces are a little faded, nd they're joined by a quartet of aftermarket dials under the dash. The radio is gone, ut that means you can install the entertainment system of your choice, nd you'll be pleased to learn that the car has a new A/C system that's surprisingly effective in the vintage hardtop. There's also a familiar dual-gate shifter, lso known as the "his-n-hers" shifter and the trunk is finished with spatter paint and a recent mat, lus a full-sized spare tire.A 400 cubic inch Pontiac V8 delivers the kind of thrust you'd expect from one of the most vaunted names in motoring. Dressed up with chrome valve covers and a matching air cleaner, he wide V8 looks fast under the hood. It sports the usual performance part upgrades, ncluding an aluminum intake and 4-barrel carburetor, aking it a very strong runner on the street. There's a thick radiator up front keeping things cool, long with a big fan, nd it sounds pretty gnarly barking through twin Flowmasters when you key it up. A TH400 3-speed automatic transmission has quick reflexes that work well with the engine's wide torque curve to make it feel responsive at any speed, nd there's a 10-bolt rear out back. The chassis isn't detailed for show, ut it isn't hiding under a thick layer of undercoating, ither, o you know exactly what you're getting with this Poncho. Polished Torque Thrust wheels accentuate the wicked stance and carry staggered 205/65/15 front and 215/70/15 rear Yokohama radials.A neat car that colors a bit outside the lines. If pure stock isn't your thing but you like the look of a GTO, hen this might be a great choice. Call today!
