1967 Pontiac Firebird Convertible Description
1967 Pontiac FIREBIRD Convertible This little Firebird is the jewel of the road-she never goes unnoticed. A pleasure to look at and even more fun to drive!!! 428 CI Motor The 428, 4 bolt main block is a 1967 SR-service replacement block. I bought it in 2015. The block was brand new, still in the original GM shipping crate. It came from a Pontiac dealership that closed its doors in approximately 2010. It was maybe the only 1967 428 SR block still in the original crate in the country. 4-Speed Transmission with Center Console. The transmission is a 1967 with no car serial # stamped on it. The four-speed, Muncie is a M21, close-ratio with a Hurst shifter and works as new. Tilt Steering Wheel with Power Steering Power brakes with slotted discs on front and drums on back. Tachometer is on the hood and works great. Original clock, which works sometimes. The speedometer works, but is approximately 5 mph off. The car has a rare fold down back seat, with manual top. Sound deadening foam under the new carpet. All new interior and all new glass. All the body panels are straight. Custom paint color is a beautiful, deep, Caribbean blue/green, from the House of Colors. The car underwent a frame off restoration about a year ago and approximately 500 miles have been put on the car. It is not a Trailer Queen, but a STUNNING, very high end driver. It has never been judged at a car show, but I think it would do very good if entered. Non-smoke vehicle. Included is the ORIGINAL Owner's Manual and Service Book. Also included is a more detailed manual in a 3-ring binder. This car is in a class of its own. If you please, you can come to view the car yourself before you bid. You won't be disappointed.
