1984 Pontiac Trans Am Firebird Knight Rider Description

This is a screen accurate Season 3/4 Knight Rider convertible. It started life as a very rare Autoform Convertible. This is a real show stopper with all the Knight Rider bells & whistles. It has the full season 3/4 interior and dash with working gauges and monitor. There is a CD/MP3 player with a switchable external feature to have KITT talking.
Mileage is about 68,800 - not exact as the car is still being used for shows.
At shows, I have a special marine switchunder the hood to switch to a very powerful 2nd battery which can run the dash & scanner for hours. When finished, just switch it back to both batteries, and the upgraded alternator will recharge both batteries automatically.
Up front is the famous scanner with LED's & sounds.
Mechanically KITT is in great shape. He runs fantastic! I had the engine gone thru and upgraded the carb and replaced his main seals. There are no leaks. The transmission was also rebuilt.
Problems know are few. The top is not perfect, but it works for sudden showers in keeping the rain out. It has a couple of splits were it meets the sides of the windows, but fine for a quick protection from the sun or rain. Paint is nice, but with some chips on the hood. Nose is perfect. Tires are have only about 2000 miles, and are great. Right rear is a little more worn (7) as it will occasionally spin. Passenger door has a rough spot, & DR Door has a bumpy area, but no rust.
This is a great car for shows, or use it for events and turn it into a profit maker. He has been to Comicon a couple of times, and they will pay to have KITT at the event.
