1963 Pontiac Grand Prix White Automatic
1963 Pontiac Grand Prix -- Description
This is a very solid 1963 Pontiac Grand Prix. It has the Eight Lug wheels. The right rear wheel needs to be relined/replaced. The car runs strong, but lot drives only due to brakes and the tranny appears to have a leak from the pan gasket. I bought this car with the intention of restoring it, but the garage in the new house does not accommodate a B body Pontiac. It has been garaged for the past five years. The body appears very solid with 3 quarter sizeish holes (See Photo) on the right rear corner panel. Also a bit at the corners of the rear window. It looks to be a simple repair and not a replacement. The car has a new gas tank and straps, fuel pump, package tray, master and wheel cylinders and a new Demon Carb. The motor and drive train appear original to the car. It is A/C equipped, Most if not all the major A/C components appear there. The A/C is not hooked up. I have owned the car for a year and half and have only driven it around the block once. It sounded and ran good then. It needs a new exhaust. Again the brakes need to be gone through as well as the tranny inspected. It shifted fine but the leak needs to be addressed. The interior is driver quality. The paint looks good from 10 feet but has crazing, and needs a repaint. It does need sails and kick panels. The dash pad is cracked but otherwise in good shape. The car should be inspected before purchase. I was replacing the headlights with halogen. The right two are done the left side still needs to be done. You will get the other two headlights and wiring. The original harness is still hooked up so you can swap it back if you want, or finish the conversion. I removed the front seats for easier access, so those would have to be rebolted in. The center console needs a lock. New battery. There is a brake line kit and a Corvette style master cylinder to convert it to a dual master system. Furthermore, there are two rear red shoulder belts custom made by Seatbelt Planet. These would mount under the package tray in the trunk. They look pretty slick. This is a car in need of a full restoration. It has both wheel skirts. 125000 miles is a guess. Pretty sure the odometer has turned over. There is lots of work to be done, but its a very solid start. PB/PW/AC/PS.I have tried to describe this car to best of my ability. $500 due within 48 hours. Final within 7 days. Buyer to arrange and pay for shipping. It will drive onto a trailer. Clear clean title.
