The white convertible top is power-operated and in great shape. We also have a green convertible top boot. The 400 badging is found on the decklid and hood. We find these cars very interesting. The 1969Firebird 400 is highly collectible and is a fairly low production car. It is unique in the fact that the Firebird400 is a special package, not just the 400 engine. The special twin ducted steel hood was unique to the Firebird400 model. The engine compartment displays the original, matching number's 400 cubic inch 4bbl. V8 rated at 330 horsepower. In 1969, Pontiac stamped these engines with the VIN, this verifies this car along with PHS documentation further verifying it as a factory-equipped Firebird 400 package convertible. There is also a matching VIN# on the inner cowl below the hood vent on the passenger side. This is a strong running engine paired with the correct TH400 3-speed automatic transmission. This car is optioned with power steering, air conditioning, and power front disc brakes. The firewall, inner fenders, and core support display original sheet metal throughout. Open the doors to 1969. The interior features the correct vinyl bucket seating paired with the center console, factory steering wheel, and correct door panels. The dash is straight and clean. The original gauges are intact. The upholstery shows well as do the seat belts. The steering wheel is in good condition as is the center console. The kick panels have aftermarket speakers. You will see in the slide show, that the original VIN plate is rusted. There is a correctreassignedtag in the door with the original VIN#. There was some water at some point that leaked around the windshield an caused some rust on the dash and a bit on the inner firewall. The Pontiac arrowhead is unique to the Firebird 400 along with the chromed grille surrounds. The green metallic finish is a repaint of the original color. The paint and body are in exceptionally good condition, however there are some minor imperfections and chip touch-ups, see above. The body panels are straight and true along the driver and passenger sides. The bumper chrome shows well front to back. This is a very attractive Firebird that runs and drives great. Be sure to check out our video. These PMD wheels are correct, sized at 14x7 and fitted with updated B.F. Goodrich Radial T/As all around. The convertible top boot snaps into place. You're ready to cruise to the car show. The headrest bucket seating is comfortable. An AM/FM CD stereo was professionally installed and isfairly easilychanged to a hidden system / original radio setup. The trunk is complete with the correct mat along with a spare tire/wheel & jacking equipment. The trunk pan itself is solid throughout, finished in the speckle patterned finish. The trunk lid is solid. The trunk weatherstrip is in good condition. The undercarriage is honest and solid. The 10-bolt multi-leaf rear end is in good condition with no major leaks or known problems.
