1966 Pontiac GTO Description

Let me start by stating that this car left the factory asa Lemans convertible that was later converted to GTO trim so it is a CLONE or TRIBUTE GTO, not a real GTO. That being said, it is a beautiful car offered for a lot less than a real red GTO convertible. The body work and paint are extremely nice, there are no chips or scratches and has a great shine, there are a few minor imperfections but they are difficult to see. The door jambs and door bottoms are clean and rust free. The chrome is in excellent condition as is all the glass. The only piece of chrome that shows some pitting is the vent window trim on the drivers side. All the weather strips have been replaced and the power convertible top is new. All the emblems and chrome have either been replaced or are in excellent condition

The engine is a nice running 326 with an Edelbrock manifold and carburetor. There is a new HD radiator along with radiator and heater hoses. The powerglide transmission has been replaced with a turbo 350. The dual exhaust system has been replaced and is in excellent condition. Under the car, the passenger floors and the frame are rust free. The truck floor has an amateur repair which is solid but does not look original. The rear is a 10 bolt, non posi rear. The wheels are very nice rally style that were purchased new when the car was converted to a GTO and the tires are red line Bias ply. The front end is solid and the car drives very nicely. I have had it cruising at 70 MPH on the highway and it rides smooth with no shakes or vibrations. The braking system has been converted to front wheel disc brakes and a dual master cylinder. The gas tank was recently replaced.

The interior is pearl white bucket seats with black carpet, all of which have been replaced. The car has a GTO dash but the tach does not work, there are accessory gauges mounted under the dash. There is a wood wheel and wood dash with an aftermarket radio andcassette player. Car has a floor shift and a factory center console. I already mentioned the repair on the truck floor and that has a factory mat and spare tire cover.

If you have any other questions, feel free to contact me before bidding. I will require a $500.00 deposit in my paypal account within 48 hours of the sale with the balance due within a week of purchase. Final payment will be via bank transfer. People with less than 10 feedbacks must contact me first or your bid will be cancelled, same thing applies for members with negative feedbacks. This car is located in New York on Long Island and can be viewed before bidding. Once again THIS IS NOT A REAL GTO BUT A REPLICA OR CLONE CAR.

New York did not start issuing titles until the 70's so this car is solid with a transferable registration from the current owner
