1971 Pontiac Lemans 428 370HP engine w/ turbo 400 Build a GTO clone
1971 Pontiac Le Mans Description
I am selling a 1971 Pontiac Lemans. This is a pretty decent project car. I have had the 428 engine running. It is a factory 370HP 428. It appears it is a 1969 model engine. The womans husband I bought it from had it rebuilt. She said they spent 5k on the motor at a speed shop in Tulsa, and that it "runs like a bat out of hell"! He passed away and it did not get run much . She started it a couple times a year for many years after he died.. See pic of the inside of the intake. It is CLEAN! I put an HEI in it and got it running briefly and it sounded fine. The carb was leaking gas so I did not run it for very long. The car has a turbo 400 tranny. This is a factory AC car. The system is still charged! It is also a disc brake power steering car. This is a great car to take to the next level. The trunk is nic, and the floor does not appear to have any real rust. The deck lid does have some rust down low where the seam is. It has a dent in the passenger door. The door open and shuts well. Nothing structural. The front is fine and all there, I will try to add more pics of it later. The car needs brake work to be driveable, and carburetor repair. It will need to be trailered. I can assist in loading on your trailer. The car rolls fine and I have a tractor to tow it onto your trailer. I have a clean green, up to date Oklahoma title in my name for this car. Immediate $500 Paypal deposit required if you buy it. The car can stay here up to 30 days as long as its paid for. Call with any questions you might have 405-550-9505.
Tuesday Aug 15. I have enclosed some pictures of the rockers and down low behind the quarters and fenders . A guy from Australia requested those pics. The rockers are super solid. There is some rust down low behind the rear tires. I took some random pics of the floor pans. I don't see any holes through. The undercoating is starting to peel off in spots.
