1976 Firebird w/1970 Chevy 454 LS6 w/M22 Trans & 1970 Z28 12 bolt 4 series rear
1976 Pontiac Firebird Formula Description
This ismy 1976 Pontiac Firebird Formula that had been sitting in a garage for over 25 yrs. I originally purchased this car in 1977.It nowhas a 1970 454 Chevy big block crate engine, stamped High Performance on the block. We think it is a LS6. It is bored 60 over with Special High performance open chambered heads. This car is a beast. Only 1,500 miles on the rebuild before she sat for 25 plus years. We just had it towed to our mechanic to have it accessed. The engine turned over fine but all the belts, wires and fuel lines need to be replaced. It originally just needed a clutch but now she needs some TLC. It also includes a 1970 Z28 12 bolt 410, 4 series rear end with Moroso springs and clutches and a Muncie M22 4 speed transmission. This would make a great project car or can be parted out for many uses and/or anice profit. The car itself is all original except for the L88 hood(we have original Formula hood) and has 42,500 miles on it. It has some light rust and some paint is scorched from a firework accident on bothdoors. Only surface damage. The headliner dropped and some of the upholstery has dried up from being garaged for so long.
The drivetrain would work perfect for your own custom classic Chevy project. This car can be seen in person any day from 3 to 4:30 pm locally in the Richmond Hill, NY area. For serious inquiries only, call John at 718-736-4209 after 4pm only
