1971 Pontiac T37 T-37 Frame Off Restored, GT37 Trim, Like GTO
1971 Pontiac GTO T37 Description
Frame off restored 1971 Pontiac T37, wearing GT37 trim, including correct hood pins, dual exhaust rear valance, Rally wheels, etc.
Exterior-Clean southern true T37. Fully restored base/clear in 1971 Lucerne Blue. GT37 accents added. Unlike many others, this car is a hardtop (no post). All trim in excellent show condition. Restored grilles, new emblems, etc. Restored Rally II wheels, with new BFG tires. All glass in good condition.
Interior-Fully restored with restored dash pad, NOT a cheap plastic cover, but actually restored and re-padded which is very expensive. Fully restored instrument cluster and instruments. Original AM radio, but also included with purchase is a new Antique Auto Radio OE appearing AM/FM/Ipod radio with speakers ($750). Door panels and seat covers are correct, but not available through any vendors, so we had them made out of OE material by SMS auto fabrics in the original design. Many people just put Lemans or GTO panels/seats in them, but we went with the expensive "correct" stuff. New carpet, package tray, headliner, sill plates, etc. All is restored, and all correct in color and design.
Powertrain & Chassis-The numbers matching 350 engine and transmission were rebuilt and installed. Fuel line, clamps, brake booster and all underhood items are restored and correct appearing. A/C is installed but not charged or operational. Driveshaft was blasted and correctly painted, as was the rear end. New 3" stainless exhaust gives the car a deep rumble. Front suspension, brakes are all restored and detailed with new bushings and components.
Summary-We purchased this car with an LSx swap in mind. The chassis, engine, transmission and driveline were already full restored. We completed the interior, had it professionally painted, and fully detailed components througout. In the end, the car is complete and ready to run. We had a change of heart on pulling the drivetrain out for LSx conversion, but that option is still on the table if interested after eBay purchase. While not "concourse" the car is still show quality and completed in a very striking original color combo and shows amazing. Local viewing is welcome. Reserve and BUY IT NOW is very reasonable. You cannot frame off restore a car for less than $25k these days, and this car is "fresh". $500 deposit required within 24 hours. Rest certified funds, cash, or wire transfer.
