1948 Pontiac Torpedo Super 8 Convertible Torpedo Super 8 Description

1948 Pontiac Convertible

Torpedo Super 8

Thinning down my collection and this car is just simply stunning. I will let the photos speak for themselves, but can attest to the fact that this is one gorgeous looking gorgeous driving car. Silk smooth and the engine and mechanicals are whisper quiet.

I have owned this for 5 years. The only thing I can say negative about this car is that it will require some work on the convertible top mechanism. I have never vetted it out, and have put the top down manually. Otherwise, get in a drive. Anywhere.

I bought the car from the estate of the former owner, who had owned it for many years then proceeded to do a frame up nut and bolt restoration on this car for which I have photos. This work was done possibly 15 years ago and is still fresh, as the car really has not been driven in any weather and has always been garaged under cover. I was the first to put the top down on it.

Paint, upholstery, top, chrome, tires, you name it. Like new. Just an utterly sweet 40s convertible.

Note...I have a ton of spares for this car, including NOS parts and a full long block with all accessories. All go with the car.
