1977 Pontiac Trans Am Y82 special edition (Bandit) package
1977 Pontiac Trans Am Description
I am the second owner of this 1977 Pontiac Trans Am with the Y82 special edition package. It has a 6.6 liter engine with 4 speed manual trans and Hurst T-Tops. The original owner had the vehicle in storage for quite some time and had sent it to a body shop for repaint. The shop later closed, and in 1999 it was sent to a second body shop for the paint work. After repainting, it was returned to storage without being reassembled. I purchased the vehicle in its current condition in 2005. I have the historical paperwork on the car from Pontiac. The odometer reads 33,965. While I can't verify that this is actual, the car looks and drives so well that I believe it to be the original mileage.
The car has no exterior rust on any panels or on the rockers. The underside does have some light surface rust on the floors and the right quarter inner has a small hole. Otherwise the car is very clean. The exterior panels have some minor dings and scratches from years of storage. Most of the parts, including the decals, needed for reassembly are included.
The interior needs to be redone as does the exhaust and maintenance work. The engine and trans are not leaking. Even after all the years of storage, the car started right away when I took it out.

I have a photo of the engine ID number, but have reached the limit on the number of photos I can put on this listing. If you'd like to see the photo, email me and I'll send you a copy.
