1967 Pontiac 400 Firebird convertible Red
1967 Pontiac Firebird Description
Hello, after years of enjoying our 400 firebird. We are down sizing . Great old car runs great. We drove it everywhere. Starts and drives fine just as it is. A driver quality original car that is a bunch of fun. It still has the original numbers matching engine in the car. I have the original owners dealer metal protecto plate that shows the numbers matching 400 engine number on the plate. the number on the plate matches the number stamped on block. I had a timing chain, water pump, belt, hoses, alternator all done a few years ago. The engine does drip oil from the back of the pa, so most likely it needs a rear main seal. I put a 1/4 quart a month. It has a new exhaust from the head pipes back. Body was painted once many years ago the original r4 red and is starting to show rust on the quarters and fenders. It was like this when I bought it and has always been garaged by me. Rockers, floors are original and look great. Small dent on pass outer rocker. Trunk pan is original but has surface rust. May have pin holes if you grind it down but I would not ever think of replacing it. Power top is old but works up and down, it is black with a plastic window. It has power windows that all work but I think one of the back ones will only go up/down with only one of the switches Other the drivers door or the rear switch. Power steering, power drum brakes, a/c is missing some parts like the condenser and the block off plates that go between the nose and radiator. Speedo works but the miles on my title are about 500 more than on the car and that is because I forgot to bring how many miles was on the car when I went to DMV when I bought it from the second owner and I guessed and was off 10,000 miles but have put them on. So I am still short of the miles on my title so I will have to put unknown miles when I sell it. That is why I put miles unknown for the ebay listing or 250k. But it has the real original amount of miles that is on the speedo. Gas gauge has never worked. Rest of lights work but the lights in the trunk for tail lights the plugs fall out. Interior is original but the deluxe door panels where cut for speakers, driver seat has some splits and tares. Great chance to drive and restore a real red 400 convertible. I'm sure I am missing some things but it is a old car. Sold as-is with no warranty or guarantee expressed or implied. Payment will be in cash in hand at pick up. title will be filled out with new buyers name at time of pickup. I have a clear title in my name and all the papers I have go with the car including the sheet found in the rear seat. Questions I can be reached at 973-525-0100
