1988 Pontiac Firebird Trans AM
1988 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Description
The car runs, drives, and shifts great. It has no leaks and there are no check engine warning lights. The listed mileage of 75,540 is accurate. I still drive it once in a while so it might go up a little. I bought the car in 2005 with around 45,000 on it. Since I have owned the car it has always been garage kept and I have not driven it during winter. Overall I have taken great car of the car and fixed any known issues. I have recently installed the following new parts: Alternator, Starter, Heater Core, Distributor Cap and Coil, Ignition Coil, Plugs and Wires, Hood and Hatch Lift Supports, Rebuilt Headlight Motors, Headlights, Battery.
The body and paint are original and excellent condition for the car's age. There were a few very small spots where I noticed the paint bubbling so I sanded them down, primed and repainted those areas. I included close up photos of the areas I touched up. The spoiler is cracked in a few areas.
The interior is in ok condition but it does has many of the common flaws you see in these Third Generation Firebirds. The cloth material used for many of them dries out and then tears easily. The driver side seat is torn and the passenger side seat has a few tears. They are not slopped out and should be fine for a long time with the seat covers currently on them. The rear seat has a couple of small rips that I sewed together. Some areas of the headliner were sagging so I used spray adhesive to redo. The dash is cracked in the middle. I patched and repainted the dash. It looks better but is still noticeable.
I have described the car as accurately as possible. It should make a great cruiser for the price. Feel free to ask me any questions and I will respond as soon as I can. The vehicle is being sold as is with no warranty. It is also for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the listing at anytime.
