1980 Pontiac Trans Am turbo TA Description

Overall this is a good basis for building the TA t-top model you want - I was gonna do a 73 front and snorkel hood ... and make the car Pontiac sjould have made -a ws6 twin turbo 400 or 455 - with 4 wheel disks.I just dont have the time or funds to do it right now ...
Looked for rollers for a while and I have seen much worse for more moneyThis turbo TA is a roller and needs a motor and trans.
  • The body has rust bubbles - see pictures, and the frame has surface rust.
  • The t-tops work and are in ok shape - may leak a little, but you shouldnt drive it in rain anyway.
  • I bought the car to restore and add a REAL motor to it, but funds and time cause me to sell it ...at this price you can have the car you always wanted and have money left over for the drivetrain it deserves. The interior could use a freshening with seat covers and the roof liner sags.
  • Both sides of the t-top corners need fixing where the paint chipped and rust started. The front is missing the plastic lower grills. In general this is a project you can throw an engine and trans in and drive it until you tackle a new paint job....not perfect at all but a REALLY good car to start with - has subframe connectors for strength and under the hood has been painted very nicely - behind the trunk has a panel needing replaced - but ROCK auto has great prices!
  • I have listed everything I know bad about the car but on the plus side it is a turbo TA 1980 model with t-tops in buildable condition. Not aware of any holes in floors but I would replace both rocker panels as they are rusty.
  • needs new carpet
  • seats would really look great with new covers
  • drivers side not rusted as bad as passenger side - rust in the fenders and quarters, but nothing a good body man cant handle
  • inspect in person before you buy ! remember this is a used car and I have tried to be as complete as I can explaining its condition :) -
